memorable wedding gift and do not want to select something off the couple's wedding
registry, think about what makes the couple who they are. Do they go skiing regularly
or do they love spending the day at the beach? Are they into art or music? The goal is

You can't go wrong with green. We all need it, especially young newly married couples.
Don't worry about appearing impersonal or thoughtless. The gift can be used towards

If you can, find out where the special couple will be spending their honeymoon. Buy
them a pictorial book or two about their destination. Inside include coupons and gift
certificates for hotel services such as a dual massage, spa treatment or breakfast in
bed. Or you can give a certificate for dinner at a local restaurant or an afternoon of
horseback riding.

Antique Furniture
Give the gift that has stood the test of time and will continue to do so for years to
come. Antique furniture makes a delightful, one-of-kind gift. There are antique shops
on every corner. Just make sure you do your homework before making a purchase.
Reproductions abound in the furniture field. Also, watch for estate sales. If you're
lucky, you'll be able to pick up a piece of two well below dealer cost.

Many couples end up with oodles of gifts that are either stored under a bed, in a closet
or tucked away in an attic. In some cases, a gift or two will even be rewrapped and
regifted as a wedding, birthday or anniversary gift to an unsuspecting couple or
individual. Make sure your gift does not face that same outcome. Use a registry or
plan carefully. With just a little bit of research and creativity, your gift could be the
one remembered for a lifetime.
